Where do CYTE's reviews come from?
All of CYTE's reviews are on Google, on the CYTE Building and Pest Inspections Gold Coast business profile. Rhys asks every client for a Google review after the inspection. The reviews above were chosen from that profile and are quoted as written; the rating and count are the figures Google shows.
What do you get when you book CYTE?
- A combined building and timber pest inspection in one visit, carried out in accordance with AS 4349.1 and AS 4349.3.
- Rhys Voyce carries out every inspection. CYTE is QBCC licensed and insured (licence 1519 2537).
- A pre-inspection agreement before the visit, setting out exactly what is covered.

How should you read an inspector's reviews?
Star ratings tell you clients were happy. The detail tells you whether the inspection will help you decide. When you compare building and pest inspectors on the Gold Coast, look for these in the review text:
- Mentions of the written report: whether it was clear, had photos and arrived when promised. The report is what you are paying for.
- Who did the inspection. If reviews name a different person each time, ask who will attend yours.
- A property like yours. A review from a unit buyer says more about a unit inspection than one from an acreage sale.
- Recent dates. A run of reviews from years ago says little about the service today.
- How quickly the inspector replied and fitted in with the contract timeline.
Reviews don't confirm a licence. Check that separately on the QBCC register before you book: a building inspector should hold a Completed Residential Building Inspection licence, and the timber pest side needs a separate Termite Management licence.
What happens on the day and after?
Attendance is welcome where access and site conditions allow. Towards the end of the inspection we can walk through the key visible findings with you, and every finding and recommendation is confirmed in the written report. Where something needs further assessment, the report names the appropriate specialist, such as a plumber, roofer, structural engineer or timber pest inspector. You are welcome to call after reading the report to discuss the findings.
